Piepenbrock Packaging Technologies (PPT USA), the North American subsidiary of the German-based Piepenbrock Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas C. Rougeux as President. In his new role as President, Rougeux is focused on expanding PPT USA's market presence with LoeschPack and Hastamat's premium packaging platforms. By strengthening the service organization with additional technical talent, he is implementing enhanced CRM systems, updated marketing collateral, digital campaigns and expanding field coverage to deliver superior support to North American customers.
Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Rougeux will lead sales and service operations for LoeschPack and Hastamat high-end, high-speed packaging technologies across Canada, the United States and Mexico.
Rougeux brings more than 15 years of senior-level experience in technical sales, business development, and operational leadership in high-value automation and precision manufacturing. A results-driven executive with deep technical expertise, he has consistently delivered strong growth for complex, custom-engineered solutions in demanding industries including automotive, aerospace, space, and defense.
Rougeux founded and led RX Industries, an AS9100- and ITAR-certified CNC machine shop. Starting the business alone, he scaled it to 18 employees, secured key customers such as SpaceX, Blue Origin, Boeing, L3 Harris, and Pratt & Whitney, and doubled sales volume in both 2023 and 2024 while achieving CMMC Level 2 certification. Prior to that, he served as Regional Sales Director for Weber Screwdriving Systems, a German automation machinery builder, where he drove over 400% revenue growth across a 12-state territory and maintained the highest profit margins among global peers. Earlier roles include National Sales Manager at Design Tool, Inc. and Managing Director at Krauth Electric Company, where he executed successful turnarounds and quality transformations for major manufacturers including Toyota.
With a BBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Kentucky and international business training in Vienna, Rougeux combines strong technical credibility with a clear understanding of both the visible and hidden costs of capital equipment decisions. He is known for building lasting customer partnerships through tailored, high-performance solutions and exceptional service.
