LoeschPack FHW-S Horizontal Flow Wrapper

LoeschPack's flagship high-speed flow wrapper for chocolate bars, biscuits and bakery, engineered for up to 2,100 products per minute. Paper and plastics on one platform, changed at the touch of a button.

The FHW-S is the machine LoeschPack provides you when your plant needs speeds that hold shift after shift. It is engineered for up to 2,100 products per minute with film speeds of up to 205 m/min, which places it at the top of the global flow wrapping range.

That published maximum shows the performance envelope of the platform. The output your line delivers is an engineering outcome, shaped by pack length, film structure and how product is presented at the infeed. Piepenbrock Packaging works directly with you and LoeschPack to specify the feeding, the buffering and the wrapper together, so the configuration is built around your target from the first drawing.

What the FHW-S gives you

  • Paper and plastics on one platform, changed at the touch of a button, so a move to a recyclable structure is a material decision and not a capital one.
  • Cold seal and heat seal handled equally well.
  • Autosplice as standard, so a film reel change does not stop production.
  • Access designed around operation, maintenance and cleaning from the start, because three-shift running is a design requirement on this platform.

Where it fits

Chocolate bars, protein and granola bars, biscuits, wafers and crackers in stacks or slugs. Anything that holds its shape and can be presented individually.

Sticky, soft and irregular product flow wraps beautifully when the feed is designed for it. That is engineering our team works through on every high-speed project, and it is where an application like yours is won.

Flow Wrap Film and Recyclable Materials

Thomas Czioska and Christoph Recher, LoeschPack

Christoph Recher says everything that touches the product has to be stainless steel, and the film must be aligned correctly for a good appearance.

Common questions

How fast can the FHW-S run on my product?
The FHW-S sits at the top of LoeschPack's flow wrapping range, engineered for up to 2,100 products per minute with film speeds of up to 205 m/min. Pack length, film structure and infeed presentation are the configuration inputs that shape the build around your product. Send PPT USA the product and the output you need and we will engineer the feed and the wrapper as one system with LoeschPack, then confirm the sustained rate the line is built to hold.
Can it run paper-based film?
Yes. The current platform runs paper and plastics, with the changeover between them made at the touch of a button, so a move to a paper structure is a setting on the machine you already specified. Paper structures differ in stiffness and sealing behavior, so we run your material on the machine with LoeschPack and set the sealing and film-path configuration around it.
