Making the bag on your own line instead of buying it in changes two things: what you hold in inventory, and how quickly you can change a pack.
The KBM forms the bag from reel film as part of the line. Film on a reel takes less space than preformed bags and costs less per pack, and a format change becomes a machine setting instead of a purchase order with a lead time attached.
