LoeschPack LOOP Buffering System

LoeschPack's buffering system decouples the process line from packaging and evens out product flow to the packaging machines.

LOOP buffering systems from LoeschPack decouple the process line from packaging and harmonize product flow within the line. Integrated with the feeding and distribution system, a LOOP unit balances incoming product, regulates infeed as required and keeps supply to the downstream packaging machines even.

That absorbs output fluctuations in the packaging area. Product can be held briefly when a machine downstream pauses, and the packaging machines are protected from overflowing. Gondola and belt systems can also serve as overflow buffers at the end of a production line.

LOOP is available as the LOOP-GB gondola buffering system and as the LOOP-ML belt or multilevel storage system, for a wide range of packaged and unpackaged products. New to the range is the LOOP-PC series, which stores product carriers and can hold entire molds.

Decoupling the casting system from the packaging machine can improve line performance and overall equipment effectiveness. Infeed and discharge capacity is up to 160 rows per minute. Piepenbrock Packaging specifies LOOP as part of the line, together with LOMATIC feeding and the wrapper it serves.

Buffer Systems and Line Stoppages

Thomas Czioska and Christoph Recher, LoeschPack

Christoph Recher says LoeschPack machines come to a controlled stop when the downstream machine is not ready and start up by themselves once the error is repaired.

Common questions

Where does a buffer go in a packaging line?
Between the process line and packaging. A LOOP unit balances incoming product, holds it briefly when a packaging machine pauses and can also act as an overflow buffer at the end of a line.
