LoeschPack FHW Horizontal Flow Wrapper
LoeschPack's proven continuous-motion flow wrapper for sheet and bar products, running at up to 1,500 products per minute with a seal that holds across the long axis.
The FHW is the workhorse of the LoeschPack flow wrapping range: continuous motion, up to 1,500 products per minute, with a seal you can rely on across a long production run.
Where the FHW-S is specified for the highest speeds and the widest material flexibility, the FHW is built for the requirement most plants bring to us: dependable throughput on sheet and bar products, on a platform matched to the line it joins and the volumes it has to carry.
Where it fits
Bars, biscuits, confectionery and a broad range of consumer goods. Product travels horizontally on a conveyor, spaced into groups, while film is formed into a tube around it, and one longitudinal seal plus two end seals releases a finished pack.
Fed at a steady pitch, the FHW holds its rate all the way through a run. Where product arrives in surges, adding buffering and distribution ahead of the wrapper is the most direct route to more finished packs, and it is one of the first places Piepenbrock Packaging looks when a line has output available in it.

Cold Seal vs. Hot Seal Flow Wrapping
Thomas Czioska and Christoph Recher, LoeschPack
Thomas Czioska says flow wrapper sealing problems normally come from the sealing jaws, the knife or the film, including switching to a different multiple-layer film.

Common questions
- How does the FHW differ from the FHW-S?
- Both are LoeschPack flow wrappers built on the same engineering. The FHW-S carries the higher rating and moves between paper and plastics at the touch of a button, while the FHW is specified for dependable continuous-motion output on sheet and bar products at up to 1,500 products per minute. Your product, pack format and target rate decide which platform fits, and our team will recommend the one your application calls for.
